Warranty Information for SOM Laptop Purchasing Program

If you purchased your laptop through the SOM Purchase Program:

  • Phone number to call Lenovo for support : 1-800-IBM-SERV
  • Phone number to call Dell for support : 1-800-234-1490 ext. 69080
  • Dell Tech Support is 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, 52 weeks/year.
  • Service calls where part replacement is needed will happen the next business day IF placed before 4:00 Eastern on a business day (Friday to Monday is 1 business day, Saturdays and Sundays don’t count) for all parts in stock.
  • Technician will come to where you are. If you will be in classes the next day (and unavailable), give Dell the contact information for the Help Desk. The morning of the service call, bring your laptop to the Help Desk with your service call reference number (given to you by Dell). You don’t have to sign up for an appointment to leave off a laptop when a service call has been placed.
